Photo attached of a small TEHCC trail crew getting ready to go up the AT southbound out of Damascus to work on re-routing a blue blaze trail down to a water source. Second photo is of a proud dad ("Local" on whiteblaze) with his daughter Elena who leaves for military duty next week. Daryel Anderson, Local's old classmate, has adopted this section of the trail.

i wish i was there today! would of been a great birthday present to myself! i like doing trail work. alot better than the laying brick all day. i am looking forward to hitting the trail soon!!!

Thanks, Mountain Squid. She's been with the unit over in Gray, near you, will ship out of Nashville, wants to fly Blackhawks, is on the track for Warrant Officer school. Yeah, I'm a proud dad. Thanks for your good wishes for her.

Still rock solid on the northern side of the hills, but by tomorrow should be all slick mud.
