Sending packages to the Post Office:

Hikers' mail drops should be addressed as follows:

In lower left bottom corner please write,
"Please hold for northbound (or southbound) A.T. hiker."

Open Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 a. m.



Internet access:

Library - 126 E. Laurel Ave.
Open 11 - 7 Monday - Thursday
11 - 5 Friday, 9 - 1 Saturday, Closed Sunday;
Mojoe's - 7-6 daily;
Quincy's Pizzeria;
Sundog Outfitters - 9-6 daily.

Cell phones:

Sprint, Verizon work. Nothing else does.

Free phone and porch sitting:
The Only Wanderer, who lives on the Trail,
offers a free phone for hikers, a porch to sit on,
books to read, and will provide you with local

Wolf, I know I removed you from the list, but seven doctors have threatened me with bodily harm if you are found driving, lifting weights, running a chain saw, or doing pull-ups. I'll put you back on the list in a few months.

No mowing lawn, no running, long slow walks are the best cure. :)

Wolf, actually you're on the town list for shuttle driving, but many of us hope you won't be pushing this too much, and will take it easy for a few months. Many of us here have been through this process, and the worst thing many of us did was to get out too hard and too fast.

Yeah ...snow shovelling is a no-no too. Cardiologist found out I was shoveling the front walk in December and read me the riot act !!
