I made one for my thru using the thru-hiker.com quilt kit. God it was such a bitch to make. I think I'd just fork over the money for a real sleeping bag next time, but I'm glad I did it. It has about 2-2.5'' of loft and weighs 1lb 5oz. Fits my tall frame like a glove :O)
