For a while there seemed to be a new AT video every year. I have not seen a new one in some time. Was Lion King's the most recent?

I'd be interested in hiking videos too. AT, or other.

lots of short vids in my long trail journal www.downthetrail.com/the-long-trail/ (http://www.downthetrail.com/the-long-trail/)

or straight to my youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/jcdt1980

You're right, I thought there'd be quite a few more full-length thru-hiking videos out there by now.

I thought so as well.

There was two different pro crews out two seperate years recently that filmed the whole way, but nothing ever came of them, or rather Ive never seen anything from them

I bet there's hours and hours of film out there... most foks probably bit off more than they would care to chew with the post-production process, eh? You would know best!

Yeah, NatGeo has done a movie on the AT. It is part of their National Parks series. And although the AT is not technically a part of a National Park, it does run through a couple, so I guess they decided to do one. I helped them out with the Georgia section. I am thinking a few other folks helped them with the rest. They offered to take me yellow blazing the whole way, but I couldn't get anyone to pay my mortgage for me while I was gone.

Anyway, the official premiere is May 5th, 2009 in Washington, DC. I am told it will hit the NatGeo channel shortly thereafter. As soon I hear a firm TV date, I'll try to throw it out here for you folks.
