Anyone had vein oblations done in legs and are yous still hiking? Long distance? Wear support hose? Suffer from edema still? Thanks. :sun

I had the chemical treatment many years ago, before lasers. I don't think they even do it anymore. It worked, but it was ugly and still is. I find the more I hike, the bigger my calf muscles, the less pain or swelling. No extra support needed. I would give it a good period to heal, possibly several months, then work those muscles. Hiking is the best thing you can do, better than running or weights. Incidently, I wear long pants on the trail, not necessarily because of my lumpy legs, but because of poison ivy, mud/rocks in the shoes, stickers, etc. Works good for me. Best of luck

Oh, wow, Kipling-wonderful. You bet chief. But . . . it's not my quote. Enjoy.
