Can anyone give me a link for about tenting and right of way, Or explain it to me. How can I interpret this on a AT conserv. map.

As I recall, in areas where tenting was prohibited, the land agency would post a sign to that effect along the trail at the beginning of the section. And the guidebooks noted it, too, so you could read ahead and plan. So I was never surprised or caught without a campsite. Some private landowners posted signs, too. In many areas it's pretty obvious that you're in a narrow corridor and you wouldn't camp in someone's yard, cultivated field, or with their bull herd.
