transportation home

Hi,all
I will be hiking north from springer mountain starting Sunday. I have someone that can drop me and my wife off but picking us up at our destination might be a problem. Are there any bus stations or rental car places somewhere near the trail north of Gatlinburg Tn? Can any one else think of some creative ways to get to Louisiana when our hike is over? We need to be back around the 25th of June. I know this seems like I'm being a little shortsighted but I naturally assumed that greyhound would service gatlinburg, but it doesn't.
One way or another I am going hiking!!!!!!!!!!!!! woooooo hooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

To all of the fine people that were about to give me pearls of wisdom about my quandry, there is no need now. Out of the blue some one offered to drive 10 hours to come get us. Sorry for taking up space on the board.
Life is good and I am going hiking!

If your ride doesn't come through, Waynesville, NC is the nearest bus station about 30 minutes from Davenport Gap, either of the hostels in that area will shuttle you there. Hope this helps.
