Ok, i'm shopping for a bag online, so I can't exactly lay in it to see if it fits. The one I'm looking at is 84 inches long. I, on the other hand, am 67 inches long. Obviously the bag is going to be somewhat longer, but how much leeway am I to allow? Is 84" a "long" bag or a "regular" bag?

1. The 84 inches is the exterior measurement. The interior length will be shorter.

2. 67 inches is your standing height. You are longer lying down, especially on your back.

3. Length is not the only important measurement in a sleeping bag. Girth is important, too. Make sure you can return the bag if it really doesn't fit.

Thanks. Being on the shorter end of things, I understand I'm probably going to have extra room in a given bag. I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't be excessive, such as to greatly reduce it's warmth.

most manufacturers state regular bag good up to x ft - yy inches. Check the website
