What long johns do you like for "performance" (i.e. using like tights; wearing without overpants)? I've used HH polypro (the old kind that turns to brillo if you dry it, lol) and REI MTS, but do you have another favorite? If so, why? I'm looking for something that will hold up if I fall down! I don't need holes or pullies at the knee caps!
I'm planning an early February NOBO departure.
I have two pairs of tights. I have a lighter pair made of "MaxRad" from Row West in Victoria Canada ($48 CDN) and a heavier pair that are polyester/nylon/lycra from Regatta Sport in St. Catherines Canada ($50 CDN, $36 USD). I had both pairs custom made because I have really long legs, and I would have to say that Row West had way better customer service. I don't know how they would stand up to falls, but I have got them caught on bolts and not ripped them.
