Just thought you Whistle Stop fans might like to know that it has been re-opened. The lady from the general store tells me they have the best omelets in the area.
For right now the hours are....
Wed & THu - 6:30am to 2:30pm
Fri & Sat - 6:30am to 7pm
Sun - 7am to 2:30pm
Hours may get expanded during summertime. New phone number is 802.747.7070

with that area code, he is probably referring to the one on VT-130 0.5 miles from Clarendon Gorge in VT

Every omelet I have is compared to the one I had at the WS, and I never found that even came close.

The Whistle Stop at Clarendon Gorge on RT 103 in VT is indeed open. I was there last week and the food was excellent as was the service.
I had just walked down a wall of ice on the AT and was looking forward to a good breakfast and got it. :)
I did notice they are closed on Mondays and Tuesday right now. Not sure if that will change during the summer months.

Ah, good news! I partook of a meal there on my '07 LT thruhike (http://www.trailjournals.com/entry.cfm?id=204988) and enjoyed it immensely.

In Vermont, on the Long Trail, there is only one and has been a favorite stop of both AT and LT hikers for quite awhile.
