Anyone ever flown into Charlotteville VA? What was your experience with the airport and getting a ride to the trail?
I know about the Wayneboro Army but was wondering about other experiences.....

If you need a ride to the trail like in SNP from the airport let us know. Depends though if we are here or not (our schedule is wild next few months)
Airport is fine to fly in to. Taxi service.

My plans are to fly into Charlottesville on Thursday, 7/16. So, I have some time.
I will check with you closer to then.
As for getting to the trail, I will be picking up my annual section hike at Loft Mt. Campground and going N from there. At this point, my plans were to ship my gear UPS/Fed Ex probably to the Quality Inn and spend the night there to pack up. Then, get a shuttle to Loft Mt. on Friday, 7/17 to start out.
I have two goals. First is Harper's Ferry and then if anything is left in the tank from there, to the Mason Dixon Line. I have a two week time frame for this.
I followed your Journal on TJ. I know that had to have been a blast.
