After fifteen incomparable days of mountains, trail magic, wild creatures, varied weather and the sheer pleasure of walking through a remarkable environment, I am off the trail until next year.

Thanks to everyone I met along the way. The hiking was fun, but the people made it a truly magical experience, and one that I wouldn't swap for anything.

My first visit to America was everything I'd hoped it would be and more. It is a mad and wonderful place. Am off to plan my return and train for next year. Now I know what it is like to follow those white blazes, I won't be content until I've seen every last one of them...

Happy to hear that you had a good trip. What section did you hike?

I had the chance to visit England last fall and found the people to be great there too. My hiking was in the Garmich area of Germany and a few spots in Austria with nothing but good things to say about everyone that I met.
Lets face it, hikers are nice people! :)

I was wondering where you went.
Hadn't seen you since NOC
Heard you yellow blazed to Fontana
It's all good
Good luck in the future

No, no yellow blazing here. Was going to, but then simply got off the trail at N.O.C instead.

Hope you're having a good hike, and best of luck for all future ones :-)
