After fifteen incomparable days of mountains, trail magic, wild creatures, varied weather and the sheer pleasure of walking through a remarkable environment, I am off the trail until next year.
Thanks to everyone I met along the way. The hiking was fun, but the people made it a truly magical experience, and one that I wouldn't swap for anything.
My first visit to America was everything I'd hoped it would be and more. It is a mad and wonderful place. Am off to plan my return and train for next year. Now I know what it is like to follow those white blazes, I won't be content until I've seen every last one of them...
