Hi - I'm planning a NOBO thru hike leaving next March 3rd. I have a Kelty synthetic 15 degree bag. I'm not sure how much it weighs so I'm wondering what would be a good weight - I'm not planning on switching out so I'm just looking for some ideas...

A good weight is between 2 and 3 pounds. But that opinion is totally subjective.

The Kelty Luxor 20* synthetic weighs 5 lbs - 1 oz. http://www.kelty.com/kelty/products.php?type=1&cat=68&id=575

The Montbell UL SUper Stretch Down Hugger 800 fill bag weighs 2 lbs - 4 oz. http://www.montbell.us/products/disp.php?cat_id=28&p_id=1121724

Like Rock said, 2-3 lbs is about right for this rating. Saving over 2 lbs is a worthwhile purchase
