I am the sister of a thru hiker, Georgia to Maine and he asked me to join here and find out how I could mail him some "jet fuel canisters". Can anyone help me? Can't mail flammable material through UPS.

Potters sister, There is no need to mail them, there are plenty of places along the AT that will sell them. They last for a while, at the most he might just carry an extra one along. Plus Its illegal to mail combustable items through the mail.

No it isn't, I did it several times on my hike. You just have to put this sticker on it that has a symbol of no airplanes and send it surface mail. But he can buy along the way. Won't need to mail any until maybe NY.
Tell him to check his guidebook for outfitters etc. along the way (hope he is carrying either the thru hiker companion or something like that for town info. If not he needs to)
