Did he finish?

I still cringe at the $149 price tag to get the early bird price.

Well, he completed his thru so in hindsight its gotta be said that his advice was probably worth more than a lot of people who post on this website.

But did he? The ad is dated 2006 and in the first paragraph he says he was planning a 2007 hike. So, it sounds like this "summit" occured before his hike. (as a way to rise money?) No where does it say he completed a through hike.

To be fair this is an old screen capture that I came across today when restoring an old computer to give to a friend.

I don't really remember the time frame, I however remember a lot of posts about this guy and the so called telesummit.

I think that was a guy posting to his blog - not him.

Any indication as to why he stopped posting photos or took his journal down?

He thru'd in 2007.

I was wrong.

He attempted a thru in 2007 and finished 10/05/07. However, he yellow blazed about 10 days worth of trail into Monson so as to finish on time.

So no thru. Hopefully he'll be able to go back and pick up the missing pieces. Maybe he already has.

Maybe during his hike, he changed why and what he was hiking for and found the whole project no longer interesting.

I just find it ironic that the same person who once was ready to happily collect money to teach people "the seven secrets to a successful thru hike" ended up yellow blazing across the state of Maine.

Hopefully secret #8 is "begin thru hike earlier to avoid having to yellow blaze at the end"

Maybe secret number 8 is yellowblaze whenever you can ;)

Maybe thats why he finished 10/5, logged on the WB for the last time on 10/9, and didn't say a word...

I agree with DropTopBenz. He looks like a tool. Kinda a cross between Gomewr Pyle and Pee Wee Herman.

One telesummits every time one looks at photos online of others on the southern or northern terminus, or of any other photos of a peakbaggers' accomplishments.

Just sayin' :sun

Lets be nice folks. It is going on two years. Perhaps he went back to Maine and filled in the sections. Not the worse section of the trail to fill in on the AT..or any trail for that matter.

As for looks..hell, if I put my mug up I doubt I'd win any beauty awards...as with most of us! ;)

Lets discuss something really important. Perhaps what knife I need to thru-hike? :banana

I don't know.

You looked great in the "Longs Peak at Sunrise" shot on your redbubble page.

..except that's my friend Tom. He and his wife are from France, former Olympians (no sh**!) and all around cool people. Being former Olympians from France, they are a bit better looking than I. ;)

Nice photo, though. :)

It's my guess from the evidence of his photos that he got as far as New York -- possibly southern New England and then quit.

Are there any former threads here about this? My search feature didn't bring up much. I would have thought this would spawn a rather huge discussion here when it happened...
