I will be passing by the Hiker Hostel, Neel Gap, Hiawassee(town-Blueberry Patch and Hiawassee Inn), and Dick's Creek Gap way. Have room for 4 and gear going to Franklin. I'll be near those areas around noon or so.
Not charging for a shuttle, but gas money is appreciated, thanks.
These spots are for Thru-Hikers only please.

I got adopted into a room with Dick (DG is trail name I think??)

infamousJ---the place is filling up. no rooms. I only saw a few tents at the Saphire Inn. They have blocked off the back parking lot at the budget inn for tents. come on down. we'll squeeze you in somewhere.

I'm back in the Haven's Budget Inn after hiking from Dicks Creek after the bash.

I now have seen first hand the support Ron gives the hiking community here. It is really awesome. The Bash was great, food, entertainment, hospitality. It was nice to meet some of the regular posters on WB

But, Ron's day to day support is the real secret ingredient, with his bus runs to really simplify a town stop.

Thanks Ron for all you do.

Grinder, heading out in the morning

I don't know why they were surprised you do a nice job every year and this year was no exception. Thank you and everyone else that worked so hard putting the event together. I and I'm sure many others had a great time. Even though I didn't get much hiking in other then the rescue of Miss Janet ;) it was nice getting to hang out with everyone, especially you and your family. I really enjoyed the morning shuttle runs with you and Pirate and getting to meeting the nobo.., especially Rath  and Cimmeron that tough old guy. Happy Anniversary to you and Marcella and thanks again for everything. Hope to see you at trail days.

Sorry Ron for butchering Maricela's name I can't spell for a darn, guess I should have asked. I'm still laughing about our long SAR's trip to find Miss Janet and the long shuttle runs, especially the one after that really cold snap and snow. I wish I had a video of the hikers running and sliding down the hill at Winding Stair Gap and then piling onto the warm bus. "Priceless" You have some great stories about your shuttles runs, friends, and family, and your area. I had a blast when you took the bus load of us out to pick ramps. Thanks again to you, your family, friends and volunteers for 'The Bash', and thank you for your hospitality and continued support of the hiking community. I'm still thinking about moving down there but don't know what I would do for work? Hope to see the entire family at Trail Days.
