I ordered a Triangia Mini alcohol stove that I plan to use on my 2010 thru NOBO thru hike. I read on another thread that it is a good idea to order the clickstand and windscreen for stability and protection. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this stove and if so should I invest in the additional accessories?

YES... get the clikstand (and wind screen)! Others will chime in and say that the Trangia is to heavy and consumes fuel faster than other alcohol stoves and, well I agree. But the Trangia/Clikstand combo is my go to set up all the time. Stability is great, set up is great, wind protection is great. And it all fits nicely in my .9 liter ti pot. Pratice w/the Trangia at home and you will learn how to conserve fuel better by use of the simmer ring. You might want to get an extra O ring for the Trangia lid, Clikstand sells them too.

You definitely need a windscreen with an alcohol stove.

You can make your own windscreen, though.

I'm lazy, I just ordered a great, corrugated windscreen from Zelph, here on this forum. SO did you think about using a Caldera Cone?

Better yet order a whole setup from zelph! I tryed them side by side and there is NO comparison... Plus he signs his work

Does Zelphi have a website? I'm afraid I don't know what a Caldera cone is.
