How do you feel about wearing sole inserts such as superfeet?

Orange Superfeet work great for me. No blisters, reduced foot pain.

I use the green and won't hike in trail runners without them.

I use them in trail runners, the perfect hiking shoe for me.

Got Spenco's in Damascus on my sobo. My feet loved 'em. Can't believe I waited so long.

Super Feet don't work for me. It something about the way the arch fits. They hurt my feet. I wear the shoe right off the rack. I haven't had a blister in 20 years.

Took them back after break in period and 35 miles on the trail. Made no difference even after spending 1.5 hours with the REI shoe specialist finding the right ones to use. Used both the Green and Orange. I have been recommend to try the SOLE brand which you can heat mold to your feet.

I put the insoles from my Nike running shoes in my boots. Worked for me.

I have never used Superfeet, to be honest. I bought a pair of Spencos last year and to me they were fantastic! I have also done some dayhiking with WalkFit inserts and they did real well, but only when I put some thin cushioning over them. Also, I bought them at a local drug store, NOT from their infomercial. No postage, no waiting, no hassles. But the Spencos are definitely better.

Tried Superfeet and others, but Spenco Backpackers are now my only insole.

Superfeet don't work for me. I need padding in the ball of my foot, which they don't provide.

There are a number of alternatives to Superfeet for orthotics, including heat-moldable products that work for most folks. Check out your local running store, or Roadrunner Sports (http://www.roadrunnersports.com/rrs/gear/gearinsoles/). I've had good luck with the Spenco Backpacker Insoles (http://www.footsmart.com/P-Spenco-Backpacker-Insole-Pr-10487.aspx); just make sure that your boot has enough volume for a thicker insole once you replace the manufacturer's insole. Most people will benefit from some form of orthotics, which can help relieve some types of back, knee, ankle and foot pain.

Orange Superfeet have padding under the ball of the foot.
