When I upload photos do they automatically fall under my profile or do I need to do something special.
When you upload photos you need to specify the category that you want the photo to appear in. Then they will be in that category.
If you pick Members gallery then it will appear in that category under a directory named after you.

Henery, does ATTroll's answer a couple of posts above yours give you enough information about putting your photos into categories (if that's what you want to do)?
