Plan to do the southern half of the Maine AT in June. What temps can I expect? Will my Montbell Alpine Down Hugger #5 40º bag be sufficient with fleece long underwear?

Southern 1/2 of the Maine AT?
Temps here in June can go from the 20s overnight to the 80s? daytime and anywhere in between,.
40* bag should work with your extra clothing.

it can get cold with the northwest wind, the temps listed above are right on, thunder storms and rain squalls are probable keep the rain gear close.

enjoy Maine :)

and rain and mud :D. July and August seem to be the driest. September gets rainy again, and October is usually worse. Of course there was a drought a few years back when it was tough to find water away from larger streams and lakes, but it's more likely to be wet than dry. If it's any consolation, May is wetter than June. ;)

Maine in June is quite an experience, not quite hell, not quite heaven.
