For those that are like me and have to have a pillow. I just finished a pillow using Sil-Nylon and the styrofome packing beans that they put in shipping boxs. Total was 1.1 oz. lightest pillow yet. used it at home works great.

Just don't remove it from your pack unattended...:)

I usually use a light bag and then sleep in most of my clothes, so for me at least, this doesn't work. I've been looking at options for this, and I cannot help but wonder why one of the air mattresses doesn't come with an extra thick section at the head end for this purpose. :-?

I use 2 different pillows. One is a thermarest stuff sack designed to be turned inside out and stuffed with your clothes. It has a nice soft pillow surface when in pillow mode. The other is a thermarest pillow that folds into itself, but it takes a decent amount of time to expand after having been all stuffed. I usually just stuff it into my pack without rolling/folding it because it helps it preserve its "fluffed" out state.

I have slept with a torso cushion used for a lumber spine table from work. Unused of course , just to mention .
It's lightweight and the perfect size for a pillow.

Clothes bag or jacket or nothing if I am in the hammock.

Gear should be multi-purpose no? A stuff sack with clothes makes a great pillow.

Here's one of the stuff sacks that reverses inside out to reveal a soft plush pillow surface, which you then stuff with your stank ass clothes and make a perty perch for your weary noggin.
