Hello all,

I have finally decided to spend more than a week out on the trail.

I would like to go from Cheshire, MA to DWG. In looking at the data book, I am hvaing a hard time judging avg distance per day of hiking, as I have only hikes in the Whites and the ADK. Does 15mi sound about right? Also, I am looking for a good place (with grocery) to resupply between Chesire and Salisberuy, CT...anone ahve a good idea.

I will be leaving in two weeks. :banana

thanks in advance,

That's a nice section. Not sure about the resupply towns b/c I did Mass and CT in section hikes.

But I would say 15 miles/day is about right.. anything past that would not be very enjoyable.

Have fun. ;)

15 per day is a pretty good pace for the area. Take your time between Jug End and Bear Mtn, very nice bit of trail. Great Barrington sounds like the most logical resupply. Guidos Market place on Rt 7 has great food. check out the bagle shop across the street, too. You can get to GB via Rt 23 or Rt7. Either way is about 5 miles. Pretty easy hitch, especially on Rt 7.
