She's beautiful. Enjoy your years of companionship. They go by so fast. My sweet boy is already five and it seems like just yesterday he came into my life.

I think we're leaning toward Sadie, She needs a sturdy feminine but not girly name.

Does she get under your feet? If so, the "root" or "rootz" might be appropriate.

"Maybe the Dingos ate your baby". (said with a crappy Australian accent)

I'm thinking of changing my dog's name from "Sam" to "SIR PEESALOT" 'cause whenever we hike together he pees on about every third tree!

Cool looking dogs. I'm sure they'll be a lot of fun for a long time.

What a beautiful dog! Just taking that one look at her, I thought Boone. Like Danieal Boone. Dani? I know it is a guy name, but she has that one paw forward as if she is a pathfinder. Enjoy her!

I decided to stick with Aussie critter names, so her name is Dasy as in Dasyurid.

Cute pup. We tried on different names for two weeks and at the ned of the day decided if we like the way that it worked. We finally settled on Hank, good name for a part cow dog. Enjoy they grow up fast. Hank is already pushing the 100 trail mile mark and not yet a full year old.

I'm going to wait til she has more manners before hitting the trail with her, she's still learning that people with food means stay away. hopefully she'll be in a puppy class by next week as well. Dingo's too afraid to hurt her to apply any dicipline.

Do what you feel most comfortable with but there is no classroom like real life. The trail will provide tons of training opportunities. When I was first taking Hank out I would tell people straight away that he is trying to learn his trail manners. Most folks are more than glad to allow you to take the time needed to correct and train.

Heck he is still learning. My big challenge right now is trying to figure out the best way to teach him that he needs to leave all snakes alone. don't want him finding out the wrong way.

That may be difficult. I can't prove it, but I'm convinced Barney learned the hard way not to stick his nose into every crook and cranny.
