HI just wonder if any you know of any who can shuttle you back out to the trail from
Marion Va. I thing the book said it was about 5 miles

if you are on the state road or back road, put your thumb out. There are actual rules about hitchhiking on the Interstate system in the state of VA. Cant be 'on' the ramp or on the interstate with thumb out. Have to be at top of exit, or catch a ride from an establishment that is at the exit.
