That must have been a hell of a ride! 800ft and they could walk away....

Hmmmm. . . self proclaimed 'veteran climber' doesn't know to stay out of the Ravine in mid-April???
Glad they're OK, have a good story to tell. . . but their survival is dumb luck and chance. . . .

Hey, shut your pie hole, newb. He's been on the stair climber at the gym a buncha times. Hell, we've climbed for 20, maybe 30 minutes together, so mind your own business.

A Veteran Climber

I notice you weren't in the Ravine with them. . . . sounds like you're a bit smarter than the average 'veteran climber'.:sun:p

Nah, couldn't make it from 'Lanter or I'da been there.

I take it that the folks that know what they're doing stay out of that ravine during the melt. Correct?

Correct. . . .

. . .too many stories of the Ravine in April don not include the word 'survived.'

So the gene pool almost got a little cleaning, and we missed?

I'd like to believe this pair of "veteran climbers" learned something from this, but somehow I'm not holding out a great deal of hope for that.
