I'm going camping in two weeks and realize my sister has my sleeping bag. It's very old and weighs around 5 lbs. This is enough justification for buying a new one, however I'm undecided between three choices.

Campmor Goose Down 20 degree (http://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Product___40065)

Seems in general to be highly recommended and affordable. Never had a down bag before.

Rei Downtime 20 degree (http://www.rei.com/outlet/product/750066)

Another down bag and also affordable.

Kelty light year XP 20 degree (http://www.rei.com/product/763731)

synthetic, which i'm familiar with and seems good.

I think i'm leaning more towards the Kelty. I'm just looking for opinions on these. I know the kelty has the half zip, which i honestly don't mind even though alot seem to dislike that feature. This also gives you an idea of my price range, so if you can think of any better options feel free to suggest. I just want a functional 3 season bag that's not too expensive or heavy.

thank you!

One thing to consider is if you are just camping or backpacking. If you are going to be backpacking, I would lean towards the down option for weight, but more for compressibility. The synthetic bags just take up a lot of space in a pack. Just something to consider...

The down bags weigh less, compress better, and keep their temperature rating for years longer than synthetic. I'd probably do the REI, just for their return policy. Too bad you can't catch that bag with one of their 20% off coupons.

darn. too bad i was at work for the SAC deal.

Compressibility is a good thing too. It's something else to think about.

I bought a down bag from Campmor years ago, and it was almost a half-pound (6 ozs.) over the advertised weight. Quality was good, though.
