NCTA is sponsoring 8 (so far) Volunteer opportunities open to the general public. These are mutli-day work projects, and are free of charge (a $50 reservation fee will be refunded upon completion of the project). Looks like they will be spread throughout the summer and all along the trail. Check them out if interested in giving something back. Guarantee you'll have a great time with like-minded people, doing something worthwhile.
