Not exactly newbies, but relatively rusty. Looking to go from Chesire, MA to DWG.

Any words of wisdom...

Must see?
Must do's?
How long will it take?

We need all the help we can get!!! :confused:

That's about 285 miles. Should take about 3 weeks. No rush, take it slow.

This is a surprisingly nice section. Some of the "high points", if I can recall:
Looking down on the lovely New England town of Cheshire
Walking through some of the small towns in early morning
Sages Ravine at the MA/CT border
Several nice water falls in Connecticut
Pigging out in Cornwall Bridge
Dinner in Kent (expensive!)
Walking over the Bear Mountain Bridge
The surprisingly steep climb of Bear and West Mountains
The arboreal beauty of Harriman State Park
Inching through the "Lemon Squeezer"
Several surprisingly steep rock scrambles in southern New York (especially when they're iced over in winter!)
Walking along several lakes in southern New York (think about camping here)
The new footbridge in the north Jersey swamps
Ice cream in Culver's Gap
Looking down on the Delaware Water Gap (think about taking the Blue Dot and Red Dot Trails to the summit of Mt. Tammany
