Looking for a SPE. Either a 2x2 or 4x4. Pm me if you have one to part with. And yes, this is also posted at HF. :)

Have a 2x2 but not willing to part with it, sorry. Great piece of gear.

Not parting with mine, either (sorry) - this is by far the easiest piece of gear to make yourself - give it a shot

I agree w/ Chiefduffy; make one. If you dont sew use duct tape to make flanges along the pad(s) and attach self stick Velcro to the flanges.

Why didn't I think of that? Use tape for the hinges and velcro to connect the pads to the hinges. Thanks!

Okay, I'm an idiot, but what's a SPE?

SPE= Segmented Pad Extender, to get a wider pad to wrap up the sides of a hammock for warmth, according to what I could find on the Hammock Forums web site.

I found a 2x2. But I'm going to use KMACK's hint to turn it into a 4x4 for when it's really cold. Thanks everybody!

I made my SPE with extra wide sleeves. That way I can put in wider pads or narrower pads. It's like the 4X4 but easier to sew...or duct tape.
