I am headed to the big apple next weekend, just curious if there were any cool outfitters that I should check out when I am there.
I am not looking for anything in particular just a shopping day in the city.

Campmor isn't too much out of the way if you are comming down from Ct. Ther used to be an EMS right next door too.

I am taking a bus right into the city.....so stopping along the way really isn't an option....I will have to google!! LOL

Check out Tents and Trails. It's near City Hall, if I remember right. They have the best inventory of technical gear and hiking/camping/climbing specific stuff if you have specific gear need.

We are based in Park Slope but conduct our business soley online for now. One of our unique features is that we offer RENTALS as well as sales. We are looking to open a physical storefront in the coming months. We offer free delivery and also offer guided trips.

I second Tents and Trails! they're on Park Place, right by City Hall, and Jamie and her crew are super-friendly and know their stuff.
I don't know if it will still be going on, but the new EMS location just opened (not quite sure where it is) and I know they were having a big reopening sale.
