Well, I spent the last couple of days backpacking in the Bonds and hiking along part of the AT. The Bonds (Bond, West Bond and BondCliff) are only a couple of miles off the AT (towards Guyot Campsite) but almost no thru-hikers make the side trip when they are in the area. The route I took brought me up the Bonds, along the AT, over South Twin, North Twin and then out. If you are interested, the photos are here:

Some very nice pix here.

You couldn't have posted at a better time from my point of view - heading out next Monday for 4 days around Franconia Ridge and across The Bonds down into the Pemi. Hope our weather is as good as yours.

Chomp, that's the best shot of someone on Bondcliff that I've ever seen. All great pics!

That is perhaps the most scenic and isolate part of the Whites. The last time Iwas ther, forgot my camera. :(

Thanks for the nice pics and memories. Probably be a while before I hike in the Whites again...

Nice pics, I'm headed up there in 22 days. What was the weather like at night? I have been watching the weather reports and seems like some of the nights are still in the 40's.

Chomp, Great shots. It is a pity more people don't get to see the view from Bondcliff. I know exactly where that picture of you on Bondcliff was taken. Check out http://www.whiteblaze.net/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/3777/size/big/password/0/sort/1/cat/500
