I've got a free weekend coming up where I need to be in the New York City area on each side of the weekend, so I thought I would get out and do the only remaining gap in my AT mileage between Catawba, VA and Glencliff, NH. My meetings in Jersey City get done at noon on Friday, June 25th, so I should get to the North Jersey AT in late afternoon. Is there anyone out there who could meet me and drive me to the other end of this 20-mile section?
I'll be using my hammock on Friday night, spend a leisurely day walking on Saturday and finish up by Sunday noon. An alternative to a Friday shuttle would be to pick me up at hike's end on Sunday.
Another option is to arrange a pick-up from a taxi, but that can get expensive.
