I was looking into backpacks and finally decided on a Dueter Aircontact Lite. However being all excited + ADD I inadvertently purchased a Dueter
ACT lite 45+10 which seems to be a little on the small size. So now I'm open to any suggestions. By the way, I am a female:rolleyes:

Thank You,
Nrvana

Small for what? 55 liters is latger than many AT packs. What does the pack weigh? Is it for AT thru or something else?

It's probably about the same size as my Jade 50. You'll need to work on getting your gear laod down to size which is doable. Down bag, things like that.

Maybe too small for an Everest expedition

Mountainsmith's packs are the most comfortable for me. A better perspective of that opinion would be best shown by detailing all the packs I've used. I will just say I've used all the major brands at one time or another though. I love the AT 55 and though I traded my PCT 45 It was just as good.

Leave your car at the trailhead. But you should be able to fit anything else.

If I were buying one today, I'd likely go with the Gregory Baltoro 70. I love my current and my previous Gregory packs.

I'll give you my Baltoro. My current big four weigh less than this pack all by itself

I couldn't agree with you more, the more time I'm out there with the Baltoro the more I love this pack. Absolute cadillac...big deal it's a pound more than others...

A 55 liter pack is large enough for a thru-hike if you have a gear load on the "light" side. Just fill it up with your current gear and see if you can get 4-5 days of food in there as well. Then you'll know.

Thanks everyone for the input. After a little work and shedding some stuff I can live withouth I actually was able to get my gear in with plenty of room to spare (it took several tries and some patience). I'll just throw out there that I got some Frogg Togg Classics and they seem kind of bulky. I was thinking of going with the Marmot Precip if anyone has any suggestions...
