Alright, its that time again folks, who is goin and when are you gonna be there?
We are pickin up Little Bear Wed at 230 in Asheville and headin up to camp on the Creeper for the night.

I live only an hour and half away, and I've never even been to a Trail Days.
Too crowded for me.....
I'll be arriving Thursday morning, I believe.
The Scribe could tell you best when I'll be there and how long I'll be there. I just know I'll be there.

Nah, I had clear weather on Baldpate.
We had lousy weather on August 31st. Couldn't see a thing.
Can't drive that trip again, UUUgghh. Just made the flight and rental confirmation in Knoxville, TN. Arriving in Damascus sometime early fri morn, who's tent can I bang on at 4 a.m.????? Pay back is a Blister Bitch* heeeheeehe,....
Heard from a few Original Billvillians that won't be making it but send there regaurds Poster, original Bill (now , living in NH) Limbo, original Billbo (now living in MA) Madd Hatter another original Bill (is a best man at wedding, however might stop by at Kincora to visit some Hardcore legends) Bobcat (cut her cross country bike trip short and is out of the party zone for a predetermined 9 month sobrioty) Greenman (currently in Alaska, don't think he will make it) Rick "Jester04" aka "Deadmen Walk no Trails (is stuck out on his boat in CA with no funds for a flight east) of course as already posted Mathewski!!!
I'll be there Thursday by 11 or so, probably. I'm working the Speer Hammocks booth and need to be there at a resonable hour to help set up. See y'all there. :D

I'm coming into Bristol by bus on Thursday night. Unfortunately, the bus doesn't stop in Abingdon anymore.
I'm returning to the trail after a broken fibula earlier in the season (slipped early in the morning coming off of Blood mountain). Am I likely to find a whole crew coming through Bristol to Damascus, or am I better off booking a hiker's shuttle?

The festival in VT is a music/hiking weekend festival also preforming a hardcore work project. hardcore is a trail maintenance opportunity started by Bob Peoples originally from VT now hosting the Kincora Hostel in TN. Hardcore takes place immediatley after trail days and in my opinion one of the most amazing maintnenace projects all year. We were lucky enough last year in Vermont to have Bob as a surprise volunteer at the vt hardcore project, it meant alot to all of us.

Intentional departure from Duncannon about 5 on Thursday. Depends on how much I get done in the next 40 hours along with work whether I depart on time. Not looking good right now. I am about 6 hours behind schedule. But I will be there along with 2 other 09ers! If you are awake look for me late Thursday or early Friday whichever way you choose to look at it!:sun

No haven't heard a thing from him and I heard he lives in this area somewhere. I think Santa's Helper told me that. I will ask him. He's riding to trail days with me.

recess just called for a ride to trail days . hes the thruhiker we all met at overmountain. a very cool cat. he needs a ride in a day or two hes gonna be in that place on the trail north of damascus where theirs two towns real close. know what i mean? its troutdale dalevill or some crap. you know guys. anyway, he will be needing a ride and is counting on us . his cell is 9193575277. his name is nate and hes an 18 year old old soul type. very cool. destined to become a powerfull jedi. me and johnney thunder and bearpaw and wakapac and chaco were very impressed with this one. and his appetite for steak! it was a night to remember with minnesota smith telling good jokes. someone give this kid a ride for matthewskis sake. i will be the ride guy. my number is 215 668 0898. recess is to be a billvillien me thinks.
there are some hikers at kincora looking for a ride if anyone stops by there on their way.... one that i meet in franklin gave me a call, but i'm not going till sat.

bad news, as of a couple hrs ago I won't be making it to trail days this year, had some cancelations for next week, so need to work this weekend, luckly i was able to get back most of what i had previously turned down for this weekend....

Trail Days was great this year! And I really enjoyed seeing you guys......
I had a good time, time too.
I listened to Jen Pharr Davis on her endurance/speed record last year.
She said she really only walked briskly -minimal running toward the end.
She credits seeing so much more wildlife on the speedier of her two thrus to the fact that she was traveling at dawn and dusk when animals are more active. She averaged seeing a bear about every other day.

I must say that this may have been the best trail days that I've ever been to and this was my 17th. I got to see more people that I knew than any other time on or around the trail and the trail magic was incredible!
