What is the best way to get to the Undermountain Trail in CT via car from Boston and NYC? I know it intersects on 41 but I have no clue the best way to get there via car. Thanks!

From Boston: Mass Pike to Exit 2; Rte 102 to Stockbridge; Rte 7 South to Great Barrington; Rte 23 West to South Egremont (go slow-speedtrap town); Rte 41 (Undermountain Road) South across CT border to hiker parking on right. This should take about 45 minutes from the Mass Pike Exit.
From NYC: 684 into Rte 22 to Millerton; Rte 44 East to Salisbury; Left at White Hart Inn onto Rte 41 (Undermountain Rd) to Hiker parking on left. Maybe 2 1/2 Hrs from the city.

We head out on July 2nd! Hoping to do it in 4 days but my father is a little nervous about making it in 4 days so we have a 5 day plan also.
