On Saturday May 30, I am planning a work trip to brush out the Kirkland Creek Trail in the Tellico Ranger District of the Cherokee National Forest. This area is a couple of hours from both Chattanooga and Knoxville. This beautiful and fairly level trail in a Wilderness Study Area has a number of water crossings and is overgrown with Dog Hobble.

It should be a fun day in the woods. The plan is to meet in Tellico Plains at 9 AM. We'll work for 4-5 hours and then we have the option of a group meal at Tellico Kats Deli - which has a great porch overlooking the Tellico River. The deli has some fab sandwiches made by a couple of sisters who are transplanted New Yorkers.

If you're interested, please fire me a PM or an email at [email protected]. More work trips will be planned throughout the year. Thanks!
