I just got this from the Ultra running list. Here's a quick COMPLETELY SELF SUPPORTED hike of the BMT.
"Matt Kirk is the man. 48+ mi/day self supported on very rugged trails,
288 miles in 5 days 23 hours 16 minutes 0 seconds
only in ultrarunning do we get to write records as 5:23:16:00.0 (yes my
watch was that accurate!!! not really, but the seconds are accurate)
his last 24 hours included a 1 hour nap and over 70 miles!
