Can anyone enlighten me on the water availability between Trout Creek (VA 620) and Daleville? Any long stretches that are known to be dry or without water sources?

Thanks for your input

Well we've had rain galore. Too much. :)

Yeah, I was in the Rapidan Wildlife Management Area yesterday and the streams about washed my truck away. I couldn't even safely cross the streams on some of the trails.

Guess I was a little vague with my request.
I thought I was told that there was a stretch (maybe the first 8-10 miles) of this section that was known to be dry as in - "better camel up if ya don't wanna die of thirst" dry. We plan on starting at VA 620 and walking over Dragon's Tooth to a campsite ~ 8 miles north of 620. Will we be relying on the water we start with until the next shelter (Catawba Mtn.?)
Thanks.

Don't think there is water on that stretch but I may be wrong. Might walk to Catawba shelter for the night and carry 2 liters for the day.
