View Full Version : Indian trick to repel black flies
this may be old, i dunno, but i saw a couple cherokee indians with a burning citronella incense stick stuck on their caps. The evil flies stayed away from them while the rest of us were miserable. Sooo.. i got some of those incense sticks on ebay and tried it. It actually works!! Only drawback is they last about 40 minutes each, and you look weird, but i only do beauty contests in town. :rolleyes:

They don't have black flies in Cherokee NC.and they probably just ran out of another old Indian trick...Bounce.
I wouldn't call it an Indian trick. They were just looking cool.

The old indians drink a tenth of what we do today and still poke fun of us. I have seen amazon indians, and Navaho tell the camera men on TV to stop drinking so much and they do get some relief from the bites as there is less bite for,
