Hi - I'm trying to decide between these two items. I'm wondering if anyone has any feedback regarding either and I'm also not sure if the pots are the same size. I'm using a Alcohol stove and not doing any fance cooking but I will be doing the usual - Knorrs, Lipton Sides, Stovetop stuffing etc. and I want to make sure that the pot I use has the necessary capacity. Thanks for any advice ;)

Trek 700: 4.7 oz, strainer lid

Soloist: 9.5 oz, has strainer lid (plastic), and insulated cup.

Do you really need that cup? If not, go for half the weight.

I have the Snow Peak pot and used it for 4 years. I don't have any real complaints except that the narrow base is inefficient, and the lid is SS and therefore heavy. I suggest....

Evernew Ti .64L Cookpot 3.39oz w/ insulated handles

...or if you want to go HA Aluminum, go with one of the Anti Gravity Gear Pots. They are much lighter and cheaper than the GSI pot.
