I was wondering if anyone has hiked the 7 old national scenic trails, and if they had who it was.
Not that I've heard of. That would be a pretty major undertaking. Good time for you to start tho. :D
At least one person whose name has been posted before. I don't recall his name, but remember reading he was or is on AHS's staff.
I would find out if Nimblewill Nomad or Billy Goat of PCT fame come close to hiking all those trails.
Nimblewill is in the process of hiking the NCT right now.

I remember meeting Ed when I worked for FTA in 2000. At that time he seemed like an angry person and had mentioned that he was less than enthused with the Florida Trail. If I remember correctly, he skipped a few sections.
Bart Smith did..and has photo books of them all IIRC. Now that the PNT, New England Trail and the Arizona Trail are designated NSTs, he plans on hiking them as well.

I met Bart on the AZT last month, and I hope I'll see him on the PNT later this summer, too.
