I like to carry something a little unliked by many. The object is green in color and grows on a large portion of the planet.
My question is should I offer to others who seem likeminded, or am I such a minority on the trail that I should bogart it for great views?
Please people don't get angry I asked this question. I know many people feel very strong against or for, but argueing does no good. If you are or are about to become extremist on this topic please bite your tongue. I appreciate your views, but prefer to not argue.
What you speak of is very common on the trail. Tho I'd suggest keeping it to yourself on the trail unless someone around you brings it up. I have no issue with it as long as it is enjoyed a distance from me. :)

I'd agree with Phreak. And you never know how someone might react out there as well.

If you have it and want to use it, please have a little common courtesy and go away from others to do so. There are folks on the trail who don't want to smell it or see folks use it, so please be respectful of them.

Wow, I've really enjoyed this sight since I joined a couple months ago and have recommended it to many people I know! Hope this thread is a joke that I'm not getting that's between friend's that don't hold back no matter how rude their comments are. Been in the military for almost 20 years and I suppose my stance on this thread is "Hike your own hike," and "To each his own" as long as the concerns of others are respected! I don't cast judgement on anyone regardless of their vices because I have mine! I can only apologize to those I recommended this site to who have read this thread!

So here is the deal, I have 3 nephews Brayden (4) Nick (11) and Jonathan (16). Last year, I took Jonathan on a 2 week hike in western North Carolina, and he loved it. Well he complained the first few days, but hey I was hurtin too lol. Anyways, we are going on a 1 week hike in June, and a few 2 and 3 day hikes before then. I would love to take Nick on our 1 week hike, or even an over night hike, but his grandparents, or should I say my father does not think he can handle a hike because he is small. He almost died as a baby and now he is babied. His mom is fine with him going on a hike, but she thinks I should take the 4 year old too. We are not speed hikers, but we do at least 7 miles a day, and I am not sure a 4 year old who takes a nap at noon will be able to stay on the path and keep up during a full day of hiking. I know most people would say who cares what our father says, but you don't have to deal with him lol. Oh and did I mention the 11 year old who is babied, wines and cries about everything? So, do I just take the easy route and Hike with Jonathan (16 year old), do I deal with my grandfather bitchin like a little girl and take Nick, do I even take Brayden (4), and most likely get stuck carying him on my back?
I think you're sister must be glad you're looking after her kids on the trail.
