You could buy small tupperware bowls to carry it rather than taking the whole jar.

You wanna hike in two weeks? We already have five going.

It's easy to make Your own. Wash out one of the plastic tubes that holds Pop Ice, Flavor Ice, Fun Pops, ect.You know, the frozen tubes of Koolade kids eat in the summer? Fill it with Peanut butter or whatever and seal it with a Teflon coated clothes iron, set on low heat. If You don't have a Teflon coated iron, use parchment paper and a regular iron. You can also use a bag sealer if You have one. This is a good way to keep matches and other small items dry too.

Cheers!
