I have 2L Platypus water tank w ziplock top I would like to warn everyone that the zip lock does not seal. It is basically an inferior product.
I have a 4L and the zip seal is the same.
Good bucket, but not what I had in mind.
Need a 4L to match your 2L?

I have two old 6-liter Water Tanks and neither of them has ever sealed properly. I was kinda hoping that the new ones worked. Oh well.

Thanks for the tip. I always distrusted the Zip-seal Platypi... although the new model referenced by Trail Bug may be an improvement.
I have a 2L Hoser (no zip), and although it is generally great, I even had to have Platypus replace mine once, as a pinhole leak developed near the opening after a couple seasons of hiking.

I've had a 3L platy for the past 7 years, & never had a leak through the ziploc. Sounds like I'm a lucky dawg.

This is what I am talking about. They have web carrying straps and a small pore spout. "Platypus® Water Tank™ 2L by Cascade Designs (http://www.ramseyoutdoor.com/brand/bid-68/index.aspx)

Mine is an old version like the crazy one's. I really thought it would be slick.

I have a 6 liter water tank platy that is always used in camp. I've had it since 2003...no leaks and the zip top works fine. Once, with the bag full of water w/the zip top closed, it took a dive off the top of a picnic table seat...no damage or leaks. :)

We started with the zip lock Platy's and when they leaked we switched to Camelback. North Face has a nice hydration bladder as well.

Don't need it to seal. I use it as a water bucket for camp, and works great.
