Hey everyone! I just arrived to the Hiker Hostel here in Dahlonega, GA and this place is really perfect!! The Saints have been great. I am starting a small one to two month section hike tomorrow morning (June 15) after a small feast of pancakes..I understand the ThruHiker Season is over, but I am curious if I should expect to be alone for the bulk of my walk. Is there still a lot of traffic on the southernmost point of the AT?

You may be alone while walking but doubt you will be alone if you are planning on staying in shelters

There were tons of people out and about this weekend in TN. It's a great time for us regular working and studying folks to be hiking.

Not sure if you are seeking solitude or the social trail life? If you want solitude, avoid shelter areas and look for isolated campsites or just stealth camp.

If you want the social trail atmosphere, you will find plenty of it this time of year, more so on the weekends, especially around shelters and large camp areas.
