Anyone know of any rustic or backcountry fishing/hiking camps that are situated along or near the AT?

Something like this would be ideal:

Any help would be appreciated.

Go to Fontana Marina, take the boat shuttle across to Hazel Creek. Awesome trout fishing. You can catch the shuttle back, or walk out on Lakeshore Trail. It meets the AT near the dam. I suppose you could walk in that way too. Would make a nice dual-purpose outing. Hard to beat combining hiking and trout fishing. Not that I ever do much good on the fishing part lol...

The AMC has bought a couple of sporting camps in Maine in the 100 mile wilderness. They are being upscaled for the tourists.

Maine huts and Trails have two "camps" in the Bigelow area

Forgot one, Upper Goose Pond in Mass. Even though its a couple of miles off the Mass Pike, it feels like you are in Northern Maine. They run it as an AT shelter, but would be a great place to stay a few days (no services beyond a pancake breakfast)

Laurel Fork around Dennis Cove to Hampton have a number of fishing spots for trout. Then up along the Laurel fork trail are number. Frog Level, which are a series of fields, are great camping spots.

Elk River in between Jones Falls and Mountaineer Falls Shelter has some trout.

Creeper Trail around Damascus has quite a bit. Then Holston River and Lake are not too far from town.

Harrison's Pierce Pond in Caratunk, ME blue blaze off the AT near the Kennebec River crossing. Tim Harrison runs this old sporting camp with lots of little cabins. He serves up a great pancake breakfast not to be missed.
