does anyone have experience with this tent? im curious as it is reasonably priced, light, and rather spacious.

It's just a tunnel tent, nothing really new in the design. Google tunnel.

Doesn't appear you would be able to sit up in it, so that seems like a substantial problem for me atleast.
It's also over 3lbs, compared to a Hubba, or Copper Spur by Big Agnes, it seems obsolete. There are other lighter single wall designs out there that are more spacious and lighter if you prefer single wall tents.
I will say however, MSR attention to detail and stiching are second to none, but don't know if that's important to you.
Just my thoughts.

No, I don't think it is rather spacious. You can't sit up up in this tent and I think that should be a requirement for a long distance hiker.
