CVN 74 battle group is getting back in port this weekend. They've been deployed for a long time. Anybody around the San Diego area might take an hour or two and slap these guys and gals on the back. Just saying, I appreciate each and every sailor who gives up his or her life to defend us. Thanks.

Amazing how everyone forgets 9-11 and the 3,000 people who died, and of course the freedom to sit at computers and spout off dumb stuff.

I am a VERY avid watcher of Fox news and I will agree Glenn Beck is to much for even me. I am a Bill O'riely and Megyan Kelly man.
And posting fleet and ship movements on a public forum isn't such a good idea, either. Keep it to PMs and non-public channels.
It's public information. Just because it ends in .mil doesn't mean it's sensitive information.

John Stewart is a comedian. He pokes fun at everyone. His job is to be a clown and act stupid. The other people mentioned are serious. And yes, it's always nice to thank a soldier. My nephew Pasquale is in Iraq as I type this. Just got promoted to SGT. Airborne.

You know, the ones that attempt to exterminate Jews (WWII), the ones that attempt to exterminate Muslims (Bosnia), the ones that attempt to exterminate any of their own countrymen that do not agree with them (China, Iran, Iraq, etc. etc. etc.), the ones who want to spread nuclear arms (North Korea), the ones who want to interrupt commerce on the high seas for their own gain (nut jobs in the horn of Africa).

My cousin Andrew is a Long Island born 20 year old Marine in Afganistan. He new multiple victims of 9-11, parents of his school mates. If they would have taken 12 year olds in the Marines back than, he would have joined.

God Bless him and all the Marines! Especially those 4000 or so on offensive in Afghanistan this 4th of July weekend. I know many would rather be hiking stateside.

Just because a piece of information isn't secret doesn't mean it's not useful as part of a bigger picture.
