Not the one on Coney Island, but the one at the Harrisburg Senators minor league baseball game tonight to see who could eat the most dogs in a half inning (3 outs). We were at the game with a bunch of thrus who were in Duncannon for the Fourth. Two (don't know their names cuz they rode in a different car) through hikers were entered in the contest, but they were smoked by a local guy who woofed down 14. The two hikers managed just 9 and 7 respectively. So much for the vaunted hiker appetite! I'm just glad I didn't put any money on the outcome.
Of course the guy who won was not at Trail Angel Mary's earlier in the evening filling up on pasta, leftover pig from last week's feed, Mary's Amish Friendship Bread and Cookie Monster's Whole Wheat Oatmeal Raisin cookies, so the hikers were perhaps at a bit of a disadvantage.
